Up and coming ice hockey star Shane Moore from Middleleaze is a member of so many teams that sometimes he must be confused about which squad he is playing for.

But when a weekend of high speed bashing about comes to an end, there's only one place he heads for- the treatment couch at Shaw Chiropractic Clinic where Sandra Davies straightens him out again.

Puts You Back in Shape

Sixteen year old Shane is in the under 16s, 17s, and 19s teams and also the senior squad, the Innogy Lynx. At an awards ceremony on 26 April 2003, he was voted best newcomer of the year by the fans and presented with an engraved glass tankard.
"I don't think I could keep up with the pace without regular visits to the chiropractor," said Shane. "Over the past two years I've had treatment for stresses and strains to lower and upper back and also my neck. I was also getting bad headaches after a road accident injury, which was sorted out".
" I recommend a lot of team members who pick up injuries to see a chiropractor."
Sandra said spine and muscle manipulation from a chiropractor is something everybody should consider. "Sports men and women put stress on their body which need direct treatment to help injuries to heal quickly and also regular checks to maintain mobility so that the body can withstand the traumas imposed upon it.
"But anybody of whatever age who has an accident or sits in an office chair all day, or is suffering the effects of a past injury should seek help. Unless the body is kept in alignment, then the problem will recur in the future. By keeping the back healthy you are treating the central nervous system that maintains the immune system. Indeed there are many problems which can be related to strains and the spine, from recurring illnesses in adults to children who wet the bed.
